Natural Soap Making Workshop

Natural Soaps and Soap Making Soap, as a product, is the result of mixing oils of plant or animal origin with sodium (or potassium) hydroxide (lye). When lye and oil are mixed, a saponification reaction occurs, which leads to the neutralization of the lye over several weeks of soap curing. We can therefore conclude that soap is made with lyes, but does not contain them. Course content: soaps - Introduction and definition of soap and the saponification process - Raw materials in soap making (plant oils, lyes, colors and fragrances, additives) - Practical tips and formulations for different skin types Types of solid soaps made at the workshop: – Simple hand soap – Beeswax soap (baby soap) – Antiseptic soap with tea tree and rosemary ct cineole – Soap with fats, butters, and ground coffee (exfoliating soap) – White clay soap + soap coloring – "Head chef" soap + soap coloring in multiple colors Knowledge and skills gained: during the course, each participant will master the production techniques and be able to make soaps independently using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and fatty oils of plant and animal origin. Each participant will master the use of additives in soaps, fillers, liquid and powder colorants, the use of fragrances (essential oils and fragrance extracts), and other ingredients that can be added to soaps.
